NO SHARP PRICE INCREASES FOR FLOOD INSURANCE
Senate passed The Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act by vote of 72-22
Over the past year, many flood-zone neighborhood homeowners were alarmed with a pending bill that would substantially increase their insurance costs. The legislation that passed last week reverses much of the government’s much criticized flood insurance program. Angry homeowners and the Real Estate Industry’s lobbying efforts helped the cause.
