Naples Winter Wine Festival-January 2016

With the new year and all of our snow birds making their way back down to the sunshine state after the holidays, many wonder what is there to do in Naples? Besides the beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants and great shopping, we forget that Naples is also known for its many amazing charity events that help support local organizations. A large event that is held in January is the Naples Winter Wine Festival.

The “Naples Winter Wine Festival”, which is held annually by the Naples Children & Education Foundation is ranked among the top 10  arts & entertainment events for wealthy Americans. Since 2004, the festival has earned the distinction of being one of the most successful wine charity events and has raised over $135 million for local charities since 2001 to benefit the lives of underprivileged and at-risk children. This ranking by the Luxury Institute is based on exclusivity, quality and prestige. This event brings many of the world’s finest vintners and chefs together with many different wine collections for a three day gala.

The proceeds of this event benefit the Naples Children & Education Foundation, whose vision is to make a large impact and difference in the quality of children’s lives. This organization is committed to supporting charitable programs that improve the physical, emotional and educational lives of underprivileged and at-risk children in Collier County. Since its inception, this event has been able to raise enough funds and awareness to help over forty local non-profit agencies and the lives of over 200,000 children.
