Luxury Condominiums Continue to be all the RAGE!

There was a 70% increase in closed sales in the $2million+ category and a 40% increase in the $1million to $2million category for 12 months ending January 2014.  Demand for luxury condos is strong as evidenced by a 29% reduction in inventory in the $2million+ category and 17% reduction in inventory in the $1million to $2million category.  Whew!

Single family homes in the $2million+ category are not seeing a depletion of inventory. The overall single family home market decreased 9% while the condominium market decreased 21%.  But it’s just a matter of time before these properties catch up.

There are now 4,776 properties for sale in our area. The overall median home price has risen to $242,000.
