Naples is not just another pretty face…Naples cares about its environment.  Preserve areas from the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary to the Big Cypress National Preserve protect our wildlife neighbors and their homes. There is never a dull moment in Naples; you can always find performing arts and cultural events to attend.  The Artis-Naples is home to the Baker Museum and Naples Philharmonic.  There you can enjoy classical and pop music, Broadway shows, ballet and performances. A very popular Art Center is The von Liebig where art works are presented and sold from the Naples Art Association, mostly representing Florida Artists.  There are many private galleries around the area.

Get your fishing lines ready!  The weather encourages good water temperature in the Gulf of Mexico creating a good year-round environment for fishing.  Naples has many destinations for fishing.  Ten Thosand Islands is a very popular area for fishing and ecotourists.  There are marinas that serve as your “one-stop shop” for first-hand weather reports, tides and course fishing.  For instance, the Port of the Islands Marina is a boater’s paradise with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, Ten Thousand Island and backwaters of the Everglades.   If you need help catching your trophy, there are also experienced guides at Marinas that will go out and help you reel them in!  Not looking to get on a boat?  No problem because you can also fish off of the famous Naples Pier, Canals and Rivers where the tidal currents are strong.Naples pier

You don’t have to live the good life alone…your pet is welcome too!  Naples offers a plethora of pet friendly spots.  One of my personal favorites is Yappy Hour on Saturdays in Venetian Village at the M Waterfront Grill. I can relax and enjoy food while my little dog Tango enjoys snacks they provide.  Plus, a part of the profits are donated to the Naples Humane Society.  If you visit www.mypetlovesnaples.com you can find more locations that are dog friendly as well as residential communities.dogeat1
